The quick books data integration is based on a preconfigured Web Connector you install along with your QuickBooks Merchant Service account. The QuickBooks Web Connector, which allows QuickBooks to exchange data with Quick Shopping Cart. No need to waste time manually entering the data in quick books. Web Connector will take the customers information, items purchased, account data and save it in QuickBooks. In QuickBooks each customer’s data can be looked up for future reference.
To fully integrate Quick Shopping Cart with QuickBooks, you need a QuickBooks Merchant Service account. With this you to reconcile Quick Shopping Cart credit card payments within QuickBooks. If you use a different payment gateway, you can configure Quick Shopping Cart to share data with QuickBooks it just will not have the feature reconciling the credit cards.
The data flow proceeds as follows; When a Shopper makes a purchase on you Quick Shopping Cart storefront the order is automatically passed to the merchant account phase to confirm and approve the transaction. When the order status changes to shipped the order information is transferred to QuickBooks, based on the setting you select by way of the Web Connector.
To protect you from potential fraud with a suspicious order it is flagged and you see a warning of a “Potentially Fraudulent” transaction in your Orders list. You can then investigate the order and choose to fulfill or cancel the order.
If you accept Diners Club cards QuickBooks does not have pre-configured payment method so you would have to change the settings. Other wise for other cards there is nothing to do, because QuickBooks does have pre-configured payment methods for the other cards.
